I think that Chris McCandles was someone who was very optimistic about things. I don't think that McCandles was stupid but I think that his thoughts of a perfect, solitary life in the woods clouded the fact that he had zero experience surviving in the wilderness and was very unprepared.

Prompt Response: One time that I made a choice that seemed exciting and rebellious was in middle school when I decided that I really did not want to go to school so I skipped for the whole day. The next day when I got to school I learned from my friends that a big project had been assigned that day and that was the only day we had to work on it in class. I decided to stop skipping after that day. Summary: Today we read a poem about children being rebellious, we analyzed the poem and then wrote about some of the lines in the poem. Reflection: I learned that being "cool" isn't always the best way to go about life.
