Prompt Response: I only have one parent so I would say my mom has been most strict in my life although I would not consider her very strict. My mother was very light in terms of being strict and did not take a very punishment oriented approach, usually if me or my brother did something wrong she would talk to us and tell us why what we did was wrong which, in my opinion did a better job of disciplining me and my brother than punishment would have. 

Summary: Today we went further into the rock pile story.

Reflection: I learned about how strict other peoples parents are and what their approaches to discipline are.

Prompt Response: A time I realized I had to look out for myself in a silly or harmless situation was last semester when I was under a lot of stress and I almost forgot to turn something in that I had already done days ago and I turned it in at the last minute at night and I was really grateful because I know that if I had gotten a late grade I would have been mad because I actually did the work. Summary: Today we finished up reading our story and finished the writable questions. Reflection: I learned about the symbolism in the story "the life you save may be your own".
