Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

 Prompt Response:

A time when something in my life changed very quickly was when my dog Poppy went missing and died. Poppy was very old but was relatively healthy and I had not expected her to die quite as suddenly as she did because most dogs die of old age. Unfortunately, Poppy ran off and was eventually found dead in a pond. Poppy's death was very unexpected and sad and definitely changed my life.

Summary:

Today we worked on analyzing poems by Robert Frost including Nothing Gold Can Stay and The Road Not Taken.

Reflection:

I learned how life gives you decisions and sometimes the path less traveled can be better than the more popular one.
