After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Prompt Response:

I face high pressure situations every day in wrestling practice. When you wrestle you are going against someone who is trying to essentially beat you up which makes it very risky. My training and my concentration usually allows me dominate positions with some wrestlers while others have better training and end up beating me.

Summary:

Today we read a poem called Out Out which was about a boy who loses his hand to a saw and die.

Reflection:

I learned about the symbolism in Out Out
