Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt Response:

When I was younger I was in boy scouts. While I was in boy scouts we often went camping, during these camping trips we would usually do something in nature like hiking. One time we were on a hike and we were doing a requirement for a badge that asked us to find and identify different kinds of leaves while on a hike. I felt very connected to nature during this hike because I was looking for things that I would usually just walk right past but this time I was able to study and appreciate the world around me more.

Summary:

Today we took notes on native American literature involving myths and legends.

Reflection:

I learned that native Americans record most of their myths through word of mouth and not writing.
